Riviera Maya News
Cyber Baby Shower for the Daticas

It is most definitely a blessing to have all of these wonderful people in our lives. That saying - "it takes a village to raise a child" - keeps running through my mind when I think of the generosity of Akumal. Akumal most definitely raised me, and I am the Mom that I am today because of all the "parents" I had in Akumal. I am very proud of that. It's wonderful that these same people and other new friends are part of the village that helps us to raise Diego and the twins.

A big huge Thank You to you ladies (and my amazing brother too) for organizing, motivating, and inspiring and moving mountains for my family :)

so far, we have the stroller (yippee!!!!), and a bouncy chair, and portable swing And Scott says he has lots of cash too from Akumal! We just don't know who to thank – because the information doesn't show us, only tells us what has been ordered. And Cheryl is organizing a diaper drop off.

Much love,
Terri

Dive Tip of the Month

Tip - If you are usually one of the first to be low on air, here is a trick to teach yourself to breathe slowly throughout the dive.  Start your dive inhaling to a slow four-count, then exhale to a slow four-count. Remember to never hold your breath. When the four count becomes easy and comfortable, move on to a slow five-count for the inhale and exhale. With some time and practice, you will eventually reach a 10-count and the slow breathing will become a habit. If you would like an easier trick... just avoid being the diver who is the deepest on your dive. Even diving 3 feet shallower will help you to  use your air a little slower!

Make every dive count when you Dive with Natalie and Ivan.

Q & A with CEA

Question: Where does the information collected from the turtles go? Is it used just in Mexico or does it get sent to the Caribbean Conservation Corporation and/or Sea Turtle Survival League? Maybe all of these groups use the info? Just wondering how CEA's work fits in with the larger sea turtle picture. - Julie
