Kevin Graham, from Costa Maya Living, announced there was a new Eco-Park being built in Mahahual. Here's some more news about it!
If you are familiar with Xcaret or Xel-Ha, it will be very similar to those. The park will not only be for cruise ship passengers but will be open to the public year-round.
This brings commercial Costa Maya's first tourist attraction and, in addition, will bring many jobs to the area.
On the map below you can see the location of the park right outside the cruise ship port. There will be an aquarium, water slides, zip lines, nature trails and even a cenote for swimming!
The permissions have taken years and ensure it will not damage the natural environment of the area.
