Up & Down the Coast

Thank you ALL! We are so excited to have over 1,000 Facebook friends! Thank you for your support and for referring us to others! We also want to thank everyone for the amazing response we have had to the newly designed site; our visitors have doubled since we relaunched. It was a labor of love and we are so delighted that it is paying off and people are enjoying it. And thanks for the kind words and encouragement, such as from Jon at lifepart2.com:

"Hey Guys, Just wanted to let you know I have been reading and enjoying your site."

Happy Halloween! Remember to turn your clocks in Mexico back on October 30. In the U.S. and Canada, you'll be turning back your clocks on November 6.

Causes

We have a few videos we want to share with you. This first wonderful one was shared on Facebook, and we think it is an important message about marine mammals in captivity: A better way to see Orcas. Remember family, friends and freedom matter to them too!

We also want to thank Mike Cadue from Chan Chemuyil who was involved in the making of these videos and allowed us to share them with you. These 3 videos are a series of interviews about environmental issues facing the Riviera Maya.

Pet of the Month

Tavo and Cacao have been at Coco's for months. They are now 4 months old and are best friends. Hopefully they can find a home together. Tavo is male and Cacao is female. Adoptions to the U.S. and Canada are easily arranged! Contact info@cocoscatrescue.org.

Teddy was rescued after being abandoned in a parking lot as a small puppy. Although he was sick and had mange when he was rescued, he recovered quickly and is now a beautiful, fluffy boy! He is approximately 10 months old, a Shepherd mix, and is neutered and vaccinated. He is a very social boy, loves to play and gets along well with other dogs; he would love a forever home!!!
