The Yacht Experience Provides Luxury Charters
One of the great things about moving to a new place is meeting new people. Not long after we moved here that sort of came to a stop with the arrival of Covid-19. Luckily, we live in a wonderful, rather small, condo complex, and during this lock down we had the opportunity to get to know some of our full-time neighbors better. We have all worked together to keep the common areas clean and safe, and we have banded together to secure boats during pop up storms and days of being lashed by Cristobal. You might say these trying times brought us closer together. One of those neighbors happens to have 3 boats in charter with a new company called The Yacht Experience.
It was through our neighbors, Yoya and Manolo, that I was introduced to The Yacht Experience’s manager Marcelo and their CEO, Victor. (Victor’s partner and co-founder, Arturo, was otherwise occupied on the day of our visit.) Always interested in meeting new people and learning about new businesses, especially if they involve boats, I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet with Marcelo and Victor on the largest boat in their fleet, Belle. From the moment I arrived every minute of our meeting was absolutely delightful. They made sure they painted a beautiful picture of what their vision and mission are: to create an experience, customized for each client, that will WOW them each and every time.
To begin with let me give you a little background. The Yacht Experience has been in operation for approximately 1 year. The idea came to fruition after Victor approached a number of concierges at several high-end, luxury hotels along the coast. He realized that there was a population that was eager to have a world-class experience out on the Caribbean. That, combined with his desire to make Puerto Aventuras an alternative destination to the crowded Cancun area, set his plan in motion. Working with a small number of yacht owners, The Yacht Experience combines 5 luxury yachts and one, very fun, fast boat to round out their fleet.
It isn’t enough to simply identify the piece of pie you are targeting, what is also required is to make the adventure a true experience, something that goes beyond the expectations of the client and WOWs them. This is when Victor, the CEO and detail person sought to bring in Marcelo. Marcelo, with a background in the hospitality industry, had a desire to take customer service to a higher level than he was able to at the hotels he had worked at.
Together, along with their crew, Marcelo and Victor are constantly coming up with new touches to surpass their clients’ expectations. Crews include captain, first mate, the host and a chef. The experience includes a full menu from fresh fruits, their magnificent guacamole Maya, which I can assure you is amazing, all the way to the dessert at the end of your full meal. You can choose from breakfast menus, snack menus, ceviches and sandwiches. Main courses of fish, meats and pastas come with sides, salads and desserts. Specials diets are not a problem and kids menus are available. The bar is all top shelf, no skimping here. You can even opt to have your meal served to you on a private beach! At the end of your excursion you will be gifted your own photo album, to assure you don’t forget the smallest of details.
Whether you choose 4 hours, 9 hours or 3 a or 4 day overnight these are not tours, they are experiences. As Victor points out the Devil is in the Details. That’s not all, their business model and staff and crew training require everyone to first and foremost listen. Hear what the client is saying and figure out what is the motivation for each inquiry. Then mold the response, paying attention to the details, delivering a consistently high quality experience, without becoming stagnant or too predictable. Victor is the details person and he has designed a number of procedures and manuals standardizing all the processes, so regardless of the possibility of a change in crew, the quality will not suffer and each experience will exceed the clients’ expectations. In addition, they have vowed to deliver this level of luxury without the commensurate expense.
With the onset of Covid-19, this new business, like businesses around the world, has taken a hit. But they are using their time to increase their training and to fine-tune their fleet. To assure the safety of their crew and clients they take temperatures of all, sanitize with what they lovingly refer to as the ghostbuster nebulizer and assure the use of masks and gloves. The one detail that bothers them, because of the impact on the environment, is the single use tubes for snorkeling, but they know it is an important detail for now.

Super Fast Boat 28’
28’ Super-fast boat / 5-10 people
The super-fast boat has two outboard motors and can reach 81km per hour. It has a capacity of up to 10 people. There are large, comfortable sofas on the bow and stern where you will be able to enjoy the soft breezes of the Caribbean Sea. It also features a large shaded section at the rear with a spacious sofa area, and a large cushioned at the front, perfect for sun seekers.
Ideal for a day getaway, this vessel will whisk you away to shallow waters, sandbars and one of the most amazing hidden beaches in the area. It will only take 15 to 20 minutes to reach this secluded destination, where you can spend the perfect day on a private beach, just for you. SAIL CATAMARAN PDQ 36’

Our 36ft-long catamaran has all the modern facilities that you need, including a restroom, shower, outdoor dining area, sundeck, speakers and more. It has plenty of room to fit up to 15 people comfortably.
Enjoy a relaxing tour, thanks to the stability of the double hull, as you cruise towards the beautiful INAH reef, sails hoisted silently to glide with the wind and ocean.
The vessel features a spacious, shaded rear where you can sit and enjoy a delicious cocktail or, if you prefer, you can bathe in the rays of the Mexican Caribbean sun in the wide front area, enjoying the sea breeze.
If you would rather stay out of the sun, the catamaran is equipped with a spacious living room and kitchen, where our Executive Chef will be in charge of preparing his mouthwatering menu. There are also has two cabins with double beds and a full bathroom with shower. A TV and a powerful sound system with Wi-Fi, Spotify and Apple music are also included.

Sailing in this vessel is quite an experience; its double hull construction provides the perfect stability so that everyone can move around comfortably. Unlike other catamarans, this one is motor-powered, meaning that you have the full use of all deck space, and there is also has a full-size fly bridge for added space. As it does not require sails, there are no masts, cables or ropes taking up space or casting shade, so you get all the benefits of a yacht in an even more stable, two-hull construction.
The deck is wide, offering the perfect place for those who want to sunbathe on the nets at the front (only 4 feet above the water), or on the comfy seats at the fly bridge, where the beautiful 360 views are breathtaking. With a capacity of up to 20 people, the large cockpit and saloon on this boat are matched by a fly bridge with plenty of seating, which can easily convert to a panoramic sun lounging area. There is also a shaded area at the rear, where you can sit comfortably in a lounge-type room to protect yourself from the sun.
The interior offers comfortable double and twin cabins, and another additional cabin that can also be used as a utility room. Here you can take shelter from the heat in the elegant living room or savor the dishes prepared by our chef in the spacious dining room. It also has a fully equipped kitchen and three bathrooms.
